We see architecture as a discipline, with its culture, its expertise, its methods.
What guides us and motivates us, is the character that everyone can put in the practice of this discipline by making it more personal. Each project is an opportunity for us to ask the questions about what really matters: the use, form, function, image? And in this range of possibilities, the architecture seems to offer no exact answer. It is the strange alchemy that makes our doubts and certainties: the very essence of an artistic discipline.
The architectural project is our reason for being. It satisfies site, program, constructive logic and economic constraints; common sense and the obvious too, at least we think. The technique is to serve the project; we do not see it as an end in itself, but a tool at our disposal. Technical innovation must not make us forget the following points:
• The Rain will always be vertically
• The Wind will always be horizontally
• The Footstep of a man will always be between 60 and 80 cm.
For over 20 years, we focus on urban housing projects located in Paris or the Paris region.
Our partners are from the public or private control. Our studies are made with the same quality standards for both social housing and housing for accession to ownership.
Our knowledge of the history of architecture and urban planning has led us to work on projects of rehabilitation and transformation of existing buildings: a certain way to reclaim the existing urban space rather than the spreading of a large territory consumer of natural areas. A form of "reinvention" of architecture so precious to Viollet-le-Duc.
The requirement of this new project form enters into a more comprehensive reflection on the sustainability of the built environment. She led us to equip us in (REVIT) 3D Design Software allowing rapid set situations and complex programs in buildings with heterogeneous structures, and urban sites with predominant heritage issues.
This new practice of the project made from digital models (proces BIM: Building Information Model) allows us to better control our approach on the space and volumes. But beyond to find a collective intelligence in the design and implementation of a building, between the architect, the building owner and the company, it lets us ultimately play our proper role of orchestra conductor from the design to the realization of an architectural project.
